A Connecticut woman suffered serious injuries in a car accident Saturday night; she was not wearing is seat belt according to police. Michelle Daigle, 36, of Burlington, Conn., crashed her 1998 Jeep Wrangler on U.S. 302 in Groton at about 9 p.m., according to State Police in the Bradford barracks. GLENS FALLS -- A Glens Falls man who is on parole for setting fire to his parents house was arrested late Saturday after a wild high-speed chase that saw the Jeep he was driving hit a police car and nearly hit several-other vehicles head-on, officials said.

Leslie Anne Chaney, 39, of Molalla died about 8 p.m. Friday when her Jeep ran off South Sawtell Road in Molalla and hit a power pole support, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office reported. Alcohol might have been a factor in the crash, said Lt. Jim Strovink, a sheriff's spokesman.

RANCHI: Maoists blew up a police jeep on Saturday by triggering a landmine that killed 11 cops near Burudih dam in Ghatshila area of East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand. Those killed included a sub-inspector, three havildars, six constables and the jeep driver.
