On Dec. 16, at approximately 6:00 p.m., David Mericle, 47, and his 20 year-old son, Phillip, of Garden Grove, contacted the Kern County Sheriff's Department reporting they were stranded in deep snow near the Piute Mountain area. Their Jeep had slipped off the road after a chained tire broke.

UNION COUNTY, N.C. – A Jeep was struck by a train Monday night in Union County after it got stuck on the tracks when the driver went four wheeling. Police say the Jeep got stuck on the tracks on Bridgeway Drive in Indian Trail. Everyone inside got out before the train hit.

LEAKE COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Sheriff Greg Waggoner told WLBT Johnson gave himself up down a logging road, just inside the Attala County line, Saturday afternoon. Waggoner said Johnson fired shots and shots were fired at his jeep by officers, but nobody was injured.
